Hand Stripping Groom

Service Description

A specialized grooming technique, Hand Stripping involves manually pulling the dog’s hair in the direction of its natural growth, with the separation of extraneous coat being done either with one’s hands, or with a small “hand stripping” knife-and-stone set. Typically performed for wire-haired dog breeds, the intention of Hand Stripping is to retain the wire-haired breed’s natural coat; while the Groomer may employ some hand scissoring to shape the face and/or legs, standard grooming tools such as clippers are not used at all. All Hand Stripping Grooms include: • Full bath, using all-organic tear-free shampoo & conditioner • Blueberry or Plum Facial cleanser • Nail trim & file using our "quick"-free filing technique • Gland expression • Ear Cleaning • Coat styled based on breed standards and/or preferences Be sure to ask about or request any additional services during your Fur Baby's Full Groom, such as: • Teeth Cleaning • Treatments such as deshed, de-skunk, or pest control • Calming, relaxing massages during your dog's bath • Canine-formulated CBD Oil - perfect for calming nervous or anxious dogs Pricing is based on breed, condition of their coat, and a few other factors - your Groomer will provide you a quote based on your styling needs when you drop your dog off. The duration of any Groom depends on a wide variety of factors - including the size of the dog, complexity of the service, condition of the coat, how well behaved your dog is in the bath or on the grooming table, etc. Your Groomer can provide a ranged estimate when you drop your dog off at the Salon.
